“Passion and Presence” – this is the motivation that lays at the foundation of Abegail Delgado’s musicianship. A trombonist, pianist, and current organ student studying at St Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York City, Abegail hopes to bring joy and music to the hearts of her community.
With an emphasis on musicianship as a collaborative and community experience, Abegail has performed in countless publicly visible and energetic stages: Macy’s Parade 2022, NYC Pride, DC Pride, and Rhode Island Pride.
In her collegiate career Abegail marched trombone at Rutgers University. Currently she marches trombone for the Queer Big Apple Corps of New York City, alongside performing in their Symphonic Band. Abegail is also low brass section leader and staff to Press Start Orchestra of New York City as a trombonist (and soon to perform organ with!). Abegail can also be seen performing with the New Jersey Gamer Symphony Orchestra and the Magfest Community Orchestra.
